About Howard's Wood

There’s getting away from it all – and then there’s really getting away from it all. If you feel the need to do the latter, then do it somewhere like Howard’s Wood, an almost wild pop-up site on the outskirts of Netherbury in Dorset. Here you can escape into a 25-acre woodland – planted in 2003 by the landowners – and truly relax in the middle of a wildlife haven. Bring your dogs and exercise them while exploring the woods, and let the kids run around within earshot on the playing fields next to the pitches.

Booking Policy

  • Check in: 13:00
  • Check-out: 12:30
  • Well behaved dogs are permitted on site but please keep them under control and clean up after them.  I have chickens that I love and I do not want them eaten!
  • Unsupervised minors must have a letter of authorisation from their parents or legal guardian
  • Guests are advised to bring a good quality torch with them as parts of the site are unlit
  • Fires and BBQs are permitted but please keep them off the ground in a fire pit/BBQ/fire bowl
  • We are a woodland campsite so please do supervise children at all times
  • There is a 5mph speed limit on site

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations made more than 30 days before the holiday start date will be subject to your 30% (or £16) non-refundable deposit paid
  • Cancellations made within 30 days of the holiday start date will not be refunded
  • We suggest you take out the necessary holiday insurance to cover any losses
  • No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
